Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TestPlus ("TestPlus", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use the TestPlus website (testplus.co.in), the TestPlus organization web dashboard, and the TestPlus OMR mobile application for Android and iOS (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Who This Policy Covers
TestPlus is a SaaS platform used by coaching institutes, schools, and exam centers ("Organizations") to scan and evaluate OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) answer sheets, manage student records, conduct online tests, and generate results. This policy applies to:
- Organizations and their admin/staff users who create an account and use the Services.
- Students whose OMR sheets, answers, or academic records are processed by an Organization using the Services.
- Visitors to our public marketing website.
Where an Organization submits information about its students (such as scanned answer sheets, roll numbers, or names) to the Services, TestPlus acts as a data processor on behalf of that Organization, which remains responsible for obtaining any consents required from students or their guardians under applicable law.
2. Information We Collect
a) Organization account information: organization name, admin name, email address, mobile number, address, and logo, collected when an Organization registers or updates its profile.
b) Student and result data: student names, roll numbers, contact numbers, and other fields an Organization chooses to record, along with scanned OMR sheet images, answer keys, marking schemes, and the results generated from evaluating those sheets.
c) Payment information: when an Organization recharges its wallet, payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. TestPlus does not collect or store your card, UPI, or bank account details — only the transaction status, amount, and a payment reference ID are recorded on our systems.
d) Device and usage information: app version, device type and operating system, general usage patterns (such as features used and pages visited), and diagnostic/crash information, used to keep the Services reliable and secure.
e) Device permissions (mobile app): the TestPlus OMR Android/iOS app requests camera access to scan OMR sheets and storage/photo-library access to import existing photos or export results (PDF/Excel) — these permissions are used only for the OMR scanning and export features and are never used to access unrelated files or media.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide the core Service: reading OMR sheets, generating results, and managing student and template data on behalf of an Organization.
- To operate Organization accounts, including authentication, wallet/credit management, and billing.
- To communicate service-related updates, respond to support requests, and send OTPs for account actions such as password reset.
- To monitor, maintain, and improve the reliability, accuracy, and security of the Services.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of use.
5. Data Storage & Security
Data is stored on secured cloud infrastructure with access restricted to authorized systems and personnel. Accounts are protected using authenticated, token-based access, and passwords are never stored in plain text. While we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain Organization and student data for as long as the Organization's account is active, or as needed to provide the Services. An Organization may request deletion of its data at any time by contacting us; some information may be retained where required for legal, accounting, or security purposes.
7. Students and Minors
The Services are provided to Organizations (institutes, schools, exam centers) and are not directed at children for direct sign-up. Student records, including those of minors, are entered and managed by the Organization, which is responsible for ensuring it has the appropriate rights and consents to submit that information to the Services. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child's information has been submitted without appropriate consent, please contact the relevant Organization directly, or reach out to us at the contact details below.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your role and applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your information. Organizations can manage most of this directly within their dashboard. For any other request — including on behalf of a student — please contact us using the details in Section 11, and we will coordinate with the relevant Organization as needed.
10. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies separately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made, and material changes will be communicated through the Services or via email where appropriate.
